Brian has two undergraduate degrees, one in Human Physiology and Human Movement as well as a graduate degree in Exercise Physiology. His graduate work included extensive research in heart rate training (VO2 Testing) and exercise nutrition.
Brian is a fitness professional and wellness coach with over 25 years working in the industry. Brian has a proven track record of success in leading group fitness programs in SPINNING and TRX Suspension Training. Brian’s strengths are his diverse backgrounds in sport and exercise as well as his extensive academic and continuing education. Brian has been a competitive athlete in the following sports: volleyball; cycling; swimming; track and field; tri-athlete; baseball; and football.
He was responsible for performing cardiovascular assessments for the San Jose Sharks between 2006-09. Brian has worked as a coach in both volleyball and track and field. He received Coach of Year honors from the NAIA in 1997 for his role as Head Coach of the Women’s Volleyball team at Holy Names College in Oakland. In addition to his work as a fitness and wellness coach Brian is currently working towards a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology at Notre Dame de Namur in Belmont.
