Teaches RAW, Personal Training.

“My love for training began at 8 years old and has not faded since. I chose a Sports Medicine/Athletic Training major when an ankle injury sustained senior year in high school threatened my season. The doctor told me I would be out for 6 weeks. I went to the Certified Athletic Trainer and through structured rehabilitation and proper use of modalities, was back on the court in 1 week. I knew then and there what I wanted to learn.

I started working in the sports medicine realm in 1999. I have been fortunate enough to work as Head Athletic Trainer for a championship high school in the Miami area, at the collegiate level and was able to gain some experience overseas. I made the easy transition to personal training in 2003 and have loved every minute since. I was able to take my rehabilitation knowledge and apply it to the gym giving clients not only what they want but also what they need.

Volleyball, Hiking, Weight Lifting, Softball, Marathons, Trail Runs, Hiking, Capoeira, Gymnastics, Rock Climbing, Yoga, Meditation. These are just a few of the things that make me smile and only a fraction of the variations of movement that I incorporate into clients’ routines daily. I pride myself on my ability to think outside the box and welcome the challenges that are presented to me through my clientele. Training with me is not only informative; it’s dynamic, challenging and fun.”

She is amazing…

“Ty is an amazing trainer who knows her stuff, gets you to your personal best and varies the work-outs endlessly to keep things interesting. She's a high energy individual and keeps current in her field...she cares about her clients. I was in the best shape of my life when training with her a couple of times a week...now I've moved to Texas, gotten fat, soft and lazy...too bad she doesn't train in Austin.”

Wedding Training to Long Term Client

“I started training with Ty a few months before my wedding, to try and tone up for the big day. I've now been working with her for over 3 years and it's been wonderful. Ty always has interesting new exercises planned for me (no boring routines), and she knows just how far to push me, to do more reps or heavier weight than I would have tried on my own but that she knows I can handle.

Ty is also always paying attention to proper form and helps me make corrections when needed so that I avoid any injuries. She's been able to modify anything we've done to deal with my chronic wrist problems, and in general has an impressive ability to help with aches and pains by recommending just the right stretches.

Ty also goes above and beyond. Last year she helped a group of clients train for a trail run, and this year she organized a fitness competition, all on her own time. She keeps everything fun and interesting. Workouts with Ty are always effective - she helps me move quickly between exercises so that even in a short time we get so done. I highly recommend her!”
